Luis Castillo Lackluster Again In Start Wednesday
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo turned in another disappointing start on Wednesday against the Braves. Castillo allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in four innings. The 25-year-old has now gone six straight starts without recording a quality start. Castillo has let fantasy owners down this season after a stellar rookie season and now owns a 5.85 ERA with 85 strikeouts, 33 walks, and 18 home runs in 87 2/3 innings. His upside is too high to drop him in dynasty leagues or even 12-team leagues or deeper, but those who own him in 10-team leagues can probably find better options on the waiver wire. Hopefully, he can turn in a solid start Monday in a favorable matchup against the White Sox.
