Lucas Giolito Picks Up Sixth Victory
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito picked up his sixth victory of the season on Tuesday versus the Minnesota Twins. Giolito was yanked after allowing a double to Trevor Larnach to open the top of the seventh inning and would finish with a line of six hits, three runs, one walk and one strikeout over six innings. The one strikeout was a season-low for the star pitcher. Aside from a rough first inning that started with a single by Luis Arraez and a two-run home run by Josh Donaldson, Giolito looked sharp and managers shouldn't worry about his rare one strikeout performance. Giolito is now 6-5 and will carry a 3.84 ERA into his next start versus the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.
