Lucas Giolito Leaves Friday's Start With Abdominal Tightness
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito (abdomen) was removed from his start on Opening Day against the Detroit Tigers after four innings. According to the club, he was dealing with abdominal tightness on his left side. He is currently being evaluated by the training staff. The 27-year-old was cruising through his outing before the removal. Over his four innings, he allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out six. We should know more about the injury and whether or not he's in jeopardy of missing a start soon. As of now, he lines up to make his next start against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.
