Lou Trivino Earns Second Consecutive Save Tuesday
2 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitch Lou Trivino picked up his 10th save of the season in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Astros. Trivino came on to pitch the ninth inning up by two and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with no strikeouts. This was the second straight save for Trivino, although three different pitchers have earned saves for the A's since their return from the All-Star break. Trivino may be the best bet for saves in Oakland right now, but he has a massive 6.68 ERA to go with a poor 4.06 BB/9 rate. Further, the A's will likely not see a ton of save opportunities and those will likely go to Dany Jimenez (shoulder) once he returns from the injured list. Overall, Trivino is really only worth a look in deep roto leagues for fantasy managers chasing saves.
