Lonzo Ball Not Close To A Return
2 years agoChicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (knee) is "nowhere close" to returning, according to head coach Billy Donovan. He hasn't played since January 2022 after suffering a torn meniscus while dealing with complications along the way. Ball, who has two years remaining on his current deal, has averaged 11.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 36.4% from downtown. Donovan didn't specify when or if the team would consider shutting Ball down for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign, although he expects one to be had around the All-Star break. In the meantime, Ayo Dosunmu should remain in the starting lineup. However, his upside isn't nearly as high.
