2 months agoAccording to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News, Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson will get the starting nod on Tuesday evening to face the Florida Panthers. Thompson will look to bounce back from a poor showing on Saturday evening when he allowed five goals to the Winnipeg Jets. This was just the second time this season he allowed five goals in a single game. Before this rough showing, the 27-year-old enjoyed an impressive stretch, holding a 7-0-1 record with a .958% SV and a 1.16 GAA. During this stretch, Thompson allowed only more than two goals on one occasion and posted two shutouts. Overall, Thompson has enjoyed a career season, holding a 23-2-4 with a .924% SV and a 2.15 GAA.
