Logan Gilbert Enduring Rough Spring
Logan Gilbert has been getting roughed up so far in Cactus League action. The 26-year-old began his spring with a pair of shutout innings against the Royals on Feb. 28 but has since yielded an eye-popping 10 earned runs on nine hits, including two homers, with three walks against seven strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings and two starts since. The back-to-back blowups have jumped Gilbert's spring ERA to 14.21 along with a 2.05 WHIP across 6 1/3 innings of work. The tough spring results to date don't require the panic button due to Gilbert's track record but the situation is worth monitoring at this time of the year. He posted a 3.73 ERA and ranked fifth with a 4.7% BB% among qualified pitchers a season ago.

Logan Gilbert Heading To 15-Day Injured List
Logan Gilbert (elbow) has been placed on the 15-day injured list on Saturday. Gilbert was forced to exit early during Friday's start due to an elbow issue. Gilbert will now officially head to the injured list due to a right elbow flexor strain. The right-hander will miss at least two starts, but fantasy managers should expect him to be out a little longer than that. This is a tough break for the Mariners considering how well Gilbert has been pitching for them. So far this season, Gilbert has allowed two earned runs or less in every start, but one. It's unclear at the moment who is going to replace Gilbert in the Mariners rotation. The expectation is that Logan Evans could see a few starts while Gilbert is sidelined.

Logan Gilbert Leaves Friday's Start With Forearm Tightness
Logan Gilbert (forearm) was pulled from his start early on Friday in an eventual 8-4 loss to the visiting Miami Marlins at T-Mobile Park with right-forearm tightness, the team announced. Gilbert made it through three hitless and scoreless innings with no walks and three strikeouts before coming out. It's a scary situation for the Mariners and Gilbert, who is one of the best pitchers in all of baseball when he's healthy. For now, we'll consider him day-to-day until we know more about the severity of his injury, but fantasy managers need to keep a close eye on the situation. At the very least, there's a good chance he will have to miss his next start. The former first-rounder in 2018 out of Stetson University came into his sixth start of the year on Friday with a 2.63 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with 41 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings pitched.

Logan Gilbert Fans Seven, Gets First Win Of 2025
Logan Gilbert hung around for five innings on Sunday, striking out seven Rangers on his way to his first win of the season. Rangers outfielder Dustin Harris tagged Gilbert for a home run in the second inning, Gilbert's third longball allowed in 2025, but that was the only run he gave up on Sunday. He also gave up just two other hits. Gilbert has thrown fewer than six innings in three of his four starts this year, but thanks to a league-leading 38.5% K%, he ranks second in strikeouts with 32. Through four starts, Gilbert has a 1-1 record, 32 K, 2.38 ERA, and 0.66 WHIP. The 27-year-old is expected to next take the mound against the Blue Jays in Toronto on April 19.

Logan Gilbert Fans Eight In Season Opener
Logan Gilbert got his 2025 regular season off to a fantastic start by throwing seven innings with eight strikeouts, no walks, two hits, and one earned run. His only blemish came against Tyler Soderstrom, who took him 432 feet to dead center. Gilbert was filling up the strike zone consistently, which allowed him to work deep in the game. He threw 60 of his 83 pitches for strikes in this contest. The Mariners' offense couldn't produce enough offense to ensure him the win, so Gilbert walked away from this outing with a no-decision. Gilbert remains one of the top arms in fantasy baseball, and fantasy managers should be encouraged by what they saw in the opener. He will look to build on his momentum in his next start, which lines up to be next week at home against the Detroit Tigers.
