Lions Restructure Marvin Jones' Contract
6 years agoThe Detroit Lions restructured wide receiver Marvin Jones' contract on Tuesday, saving them $2.2 million against the salary cap, according to sources. Detroit traded Golden Tate to the Eagles on Tuesday as well, opening up more targets for Jones moving forward. the 28-year-old had a season-high seven catches on 10 targets for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Week 8. Double-digit target days should become more of the norm for Jones moving forward, giving him WR2 upside the rest of the way.
