5 years agoThe Detroit Lions have been getting calls on cornerback Darius Slay as the trade deadline approaches, but it would take a lot to pry him away from the Lions, according to league sources. The 28-year-old is not playing in Week 8 due to injury, so his health could cause some problems if the Lions are serious about moving him to a cornerback-needy club. Slay has 16 total tackles, and one interception on the year for Detroit in five games played. He's considered the team's top defensive back, so Detroit's aerial defense would be severely compromised if he were to depart.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
