6 months agoThe Detroit Lions defense/special teams is a risky option against the Seahawks in Week 4. In front of what should be a raucous home crowd at Ford Field, the Lions will look to ramp up the pass rush with the likes of Aidan Hutchinson. With eight team sacks through three games, that is a strength of the Lions' defense. But there could be points to be had in this game and DK Metcalf is a scary matchup for the Lions' cornerbacks and Geno Smith is a more than capable quarterback. In what could be a back-and-forth game, there could be points to be had from both teams in this game. The Lions D/ST will likely need turnovers to turn in a good fantasy performance. With one interception in each of the first three games that is a possibility but this should not be a streaming-worthy defense option this week. Detroit ranks as the 14th defense in fantasy this season in terms of total points with 20 and could finish in similar territory in terms of Week 4 output.--Brian Buckey - RotoBaller

2 hours agoBaltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews had his $4 million roster bonus picked up over the weekend. The veteran tight end is heading into his final year of his contract with the Ravens. There was speculation that the Ravens would move on from Andrews after his recent playoff struggles. Despite that, the Ravens appear to continue to ride with Andrews until a legit trade offer comes in. The three-time All-Pro tight end has seen his stats take a dip over the last few seasons. However, Andrews still hauled in 55 receptions for 673 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns in 17 games with the Ravens last season. It appears the Ravens aren't going to let a few mistakes in the playoffs end their relationship with Andrews.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

6 hours agoThe Los Angeles Rams have agreed to re-sign running back Ronnie Rivers to a one-year deal. The contract amount has not been disclosed. Rivers has spent the last three seasons with LA, though he never garnered more than 32 carries despite appearing in 34 games since 2022. He's a versatile back and profiles to be a solid handcuff if ever called upon in that capacity. However, he's more of an asset on special teams for the Rams, piling up 75.7% of his 2024 snaps in that phase of the game. The 26-year-old will continue to vie for offensive snaps with backup Blake Corum behind incumbent starter Kyren Williams. Rivers can currently be ignored for fantasy purposes.--Alex Ciulla

9 hours agoFormer Dallas Cowboys free-agent quarterback Cooper Rush agreed on Sunday to a two-year deal worth up to $12.2 million with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Rush now becomes the new backup to starter Lamar Jackson. The 31-year-old former undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan debuted in the NFL in 2017 with the Dallas Cowboys and has spent all seven of his seasons in the league with Dallas. Rush saw his most run in 2024 after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending torn hamstring. The veteran signal-caller played in 12 games (eight starts) and completed 60.7 percent of his 308 pass attempts for 1,844 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. Rush has 3,463 career passing yards with 20 TDs and 10 interceptions in 38 games played (14 starts). He's unlikely to see the field much in Baltimore, with Jackson missing one game in the last two seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

12 hours agoThe New Orleans Saints have signed free-agent wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. to a one-year deal. Jones is a former third-round pick of the Chicago Bears from 2022. He was never able to make much of an impact in Chicago and was waived by the team in October. Jones finished out last season with the Carolina Panthers, but he didn't see much of the field over there. He'll compete for a spot on the 53-man roster in training camp and could serve as a depth option or kick returner if he's able to make the team.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
