Liam Hendriks To Throw Simulated Game Friday
2 years agoChicago White Sox skipper Tony La Russa is hoping that closer Liam Hendriks (forearm) can return from the injured list for the team's next homestand, which begins next Monday against the Minnesota Twins. Hendriks felt good after his bullpen session on Monday and will throw a simulated game in San Francisco on Friday. The 33-year-old right-handed went on the injured list two weeks ago, but fantasy managers could have him back by next week. Hendriks should be rostered in all league's as the Pale Hose's closer when healthy, and he has 16 saves, a 2.81 ERA and 37 punch-outs in 25 2/3 innings pitched this year. Kendall Graveman should continue to work the ninth inning for the White Sox until Hendriks is deemed ready to return.
