Liam Hendriks Eyeing June 27 As Potential Return
2 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Liam Hendriks (forearm) began throwing on Monday this past week and he has been pleased with how things have progressed. The 33-year-old was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain about 10 days ago. Initially, Hendriks had told reporters that July 1 was his target for a return, but now he believes there's a chance he could be back when first eligible on June 27. We should have a more clear idea on his return timeline in the coming days as he's set for bullpen and flat ground sessions soon. The White Sox haven't had any save opportunities arise while Hendriks has been out, but Kendall Graveman is expected to hold down the ninth inning with Hendriks out.
