Liam Hendriks Diagnosed With Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
2 years agoChicago White Sox right-hander Liam Hendriks announced on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer. White Sox GM Rick Hahn sent a statement regarding Hendriks, which was a follow-up to his own post on Instagram. As per Hendriks, the All-Star closer is beginning treatment on Monday and will take on this challenge with the same determination he displays when facing any other obstacle in life. The 33-year-old is a three-time All-Star who has served as the primary closer for the White Sox over the past two seasons. He owned a 4-4 record, a 2.81 ERA, and a 2.68 FIP and converted 37 saves across 57 2/3 innings in 2022. Let's hope Hendriks can fully recover and return to baseball activities soon!
