Lewis Brinson, Sandy Alcantara Back In Big Leagues
6 years agoThe Miami Marlins brought back outfielder Lewis Brinson and starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara when rosters expanded on Saturday. Brinson was a disaster to start the year, hitting just .175 and reaching base in just 23 percent of his plate appearances. He was put in the No. 2 spot in the order in his first game back Saturday. Brinson will have the final month to put his ugly first half behind him. He's really only an option in NL-only and dynasty leagues. Alcantara should see starts down the stretch after posting a 1.80 ERA with two strikeouts in five innings in his one start earlier this year. The right-hander has plenty of upside and can be a streaming option in deeper leagues.
