LeSean McCoy Ruled Out For Wild-Card Game
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back LeSean McCoy (illness) has been downgraded to out for the wild-card playoff game against the Washington Football Team on Saturday night. The team also elevated cornerback Herb Miller, linebacker Deone Bucannon, offensive lineman Ted Larsen and defensive lineman Benning Potoa'e from the practice squad to the active roster. McCoy was unlikely to see much work against Washington anyway while working behind Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fournette. With Shady officially out, rookie Ke'Shawn Vaughn will be elevated to the No. 3 back Saturday night. The 32-year-old McCoy had just 10 carries for 31 yards and 15 receptions for 101 yards in 10 games in 2020 for the Bucs in a limited role.
