Leonard Fournette Had Carries Limited
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette rushed just 11 times for 46 yards in the Week 15 loss to the Redskins, and he had only one carry for 25 yards in the second half. Head coach Doug Marrone said the team wanted to see more of David Williams, who had a good week of practice. Williams had four rushes for 21 yards in the second half. Fournette said that was the game plan going into the matchup with Washington. With Jacksonville playing out the string in the final two weeks, Fournette won't be guaranteed a large number of snaps or carries, making him more of a low-end RB2 in a bad offense. It'd be wise to avoid any Jags skill players as long as quarterback Cody Kessler is starting.
