LeGarrette Blount Remains Atop the Depth Chart for Week 2
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount is expected to be the Lions running back to start the game in San Francisco on Sunday. The NFL's worst rushing offense from one year ago didn't do much in last week's abomination of an opener against the Jets to suggest improvement is on the way. Per Lions beat writer Dave Birkett, right guard T.J. Lang, who left last week's game with an injury, has yet to practice this week. With an already shaky offensive line, Blount may have a difficult time finding running lanes in Week 2 against a Niners front that held Vikings running backs to just over three yards per carry last week.
