LeGarrette Blount Ejected On Sunday
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount was ejected in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 30-27 loss to the 49ers. Blount left the sideline to shove a 49er's defender after Matthew Stafford was took a close hit near the sideline that Blount took offense to. During the game, Blount took eight carries for 38 yards and also caught his only target for a loss of three yards. It is to be seen if Blount will face any further punishment for his ejection, but if he is active, the Lions seem to favor using him over rookie Kerryon Johnson. However, Blount hasn't gotten great opportunities so far because the Lions have trailed almost every quarter of football through two weeks. He will continue to be a touchdown dependent back if he is on the field.
