LeBron James Makes History With 35-Point Outing
1 year agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James continued to rewrite the NBA record books on Thursday as he led the way in a 130-125 overtime win against the Clippers with a 35-point effort. He had his 81st 30-point game since turning 35, passing Karl Malone for the most such performances in league history. The NBA's all-time leading scorer reached the landmark despite finishing the opening quarter with only two points. However, James really took off in the second frame and was red-hot from the field with 13-for-19 shooting. He finished 4-for-8 with the three-ball and wrapped up his line with a game-high 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks. In his 21st year in the league, James still gets it done on most nights and continues to shine with his all-around ability. He has averaged 24.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.4 steals to start the season.
