Larry Fitzgerald Will Be Monitored In Practice
6 years agoArizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks said that wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) will be monitored in practice this week, but Wilks knows that Fitzgerald wants to play in Week 3 against the Bears. Despite being 35 years old, Fitz was a WR2 coming into the season. However, Arizona's poor offense and weak quarterback play from Sam Bradford has caused Fitzgerald's value to drop quickly in two weeks. He's seen 15 targets (10 in Week 1), but had just three catches for 28 yards in the 34-0 drubbing at the hands of the Rams. He'll be more of a WR3/flex play until the Cardinals can become more effective on offense. The veteran's injury doesn't help his cause, even if it's believed to be minor.
