Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Landon Knack is set to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Friday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. Knack is set to fill in for Clayton Kershaw (toe), who was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday with a bone spur. Knack has held a solid 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 12:44 BB:K ratio across 48 innings of work split between a starter and relief role in the majors this summer. At Triple-A, he posted a 3.71 ERA and 1.26 WHIP, with a 31:79 BB:K ratio in 68 innings. Knack is worth adding as a flier in deeper leagues as he may eventually earn a consistent spot in the starting rotation going forward. However, Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set to return on Tuesday, which may move Knack back to the bullpen or Triple-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned right-handed pitcher Landon Knack to Triple-A Oklahoma City. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers have promoted right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller to the major leagues. Knack has made three appearances for the Dodgers this season (two starts) and logged eight 2/3 innings to the tune of a 7.27 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP. During this brief stint, Knack has struck out seven batters and served up six free passes. Fantasy managers should expect Knack to be in the mix to return to the majors later in the summer when the Dodgers need additional depth in the majors. Last summer, Knack was effective in his MLB debut, tossing 69 innings with a 3.65 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP. Knack is not worth rostering in any formats while he is with Triple-A Oklahoma City.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Landon Knack posted an ugly outing on the mound during Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals. The right-hander lasted only 2 1/3 innings, allowing five earned runs, and walking four batters in a no-decision. Knack was really struggling in this one, but the Dodgers aren't ready to give up on him yet. In fact, Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts said that Knack will make another start this weekend against the Colorado Rockies. This will be a favorable bounce back opportunity for Knack, but fantasy managers should still be hesitant after this rough outing.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make the start on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park, according to manager Dave Roberts. The Dodgers are moving to a six-man starting rotation with lefty Blake Snell (shoulder) on the injured list, meaning that both Knack and lefty Justin Wrobleski, who is starting Tuesday's game, should see multiple starts to close out the season's first month. The 27-year-old Knack makes for an interesting DFS and deep-league streamer immediately this week. He tossed two scoreless innings in relief in Tokyo, Japan, against the Chicago Cubs in mid-March and was impressive in his rookie year in 2024, posting a 3.65 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP, one save, 69 strikeouts and 18 walks in 69 innings pitched. The former second-rounder has allowed two earned runs with five K's in 4 2/3 relief innings at Oklahoma City this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya suggests that Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack is with the team in D.C. and could be called upon to make a spot start on Wednesday against the hosting Washington Nationals. It will depend on how much the bullpen gets used in the coming days, according to manager Dave Roberts. It will set up right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto to pitch on Friday and rookie Roki Sasaki to go on Saturday at home versus the Chicago Cubs. It would be Knack's first start of the year and only his second appearance after he threw two scoreless innings in relief and grabbed a win in Tokyo, Japan, during the season-opening series against the Cubs. The 27-year-old held his own in his rookie year in 2024 with a 3.65 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and a 69:18 K:BB in 15 outings (12 starts) over 69 innings. Knack wouldn't be the worst deep-league streamer this week on the road against the Nats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
