Lance McCullers Jr. Throws On Flat Ground
6 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. (elbow) threw on flat ground on Tuesday for the first time since he had Tommy John surgery on Nov. 6. Dr. Neal ElAttrache gave McCullers full clearance to start a throwing game the day before, and he made 25 to 30 tosses at around 45 feet. The right-hander will stay on a throwing program for the next few months. McCullers remains on track to be ready to join the rotation for the start of next season. The 25-year-old has top-end stuff as a fantasy starter, but injuries have always hung over his head as a big risk in his profile.
