Lance Lynn To Throw A Bullpen On Monday
4 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals veteran right-hander Lance Lynn (knee) said on Foul Territory that he's planning to throw a bullpen session on Monday and that he hopes to be back on the mound for the Cardinals as soon as possible. We should have a better idea of when Lynn might be able to come off the 15-day injured list after he throws his bullpen, but barring a setback from right-knee inflammation, the 37-year-old could be back within the next one or two times through St. Louis' rotation. The 13-year-old MLB veteran offers little upside for fantasy managers these days with a 20.8% strikeout rate and 8.8% walk rate through his 21 starts (106 1/3 innings pitched). Lynn has gone 6-4 this year with a 4.06 ERA (4.46 FIP) and 1.36 WHIP with a 97:41 K:BB. UPDATE: Lynn said he'll throw another bullpen on Friday or Saturday. He threw roughly 20 pitches on Monday at 75% effort and said he had no pain with his troublesome right knee. Lynn is eligible to come off the IL on Wednesday, but that won't be happening.
