Lance Lynn Does Just Enough To Win On Wednesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Lance Lynn picked up his seventh win on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals, but the victory didn’t come easy. Lynn walked three, allowed three earned runs, and struck out six. An admirable outing, to be sure, but Lynn left the game in a jam. He started the top of the sixth inning by hitting Lucas Duda and then walking Alex Gordon. The veteran then had to hand the ball over to Ryan Pressly, who pitched his way out of the jam. The Twins offense did the rest of the work, erupting for eight runs. Lynn has had great moments this season and plenty of ugly ones as well. After starting 2018 horribly he rebounded with back-to-back months with a sub-4.00 ERA, but July hasn’t been as kind (9.39 ERA for the month). The veteran’s next start is to be determined due to the All-Star break.
