9 months agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness) was once again absent from the team’s practice on Monday. He was also unavailable for Sunday’s session. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh did not have an update on Jackson's condition beyond the fact that he remains out with an illness. Jackson is coming off a season in which he threw for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns while running for 821 yards and five touchdowns. Jackson finished as the QB4 in fantasy in 2023. As such, fantasy managers are anxiously awaiting his return to the field. Given that he is suffering from an illness, hopefully, Jackson will be back on the field later this week.--Quincy Milton III - RotoBaller

2 months agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson committed a couple of uncharacteristic turnovers in the first half on Sunday, but almost turned it all around in the second half. During the 27-25 loss to the Bills, Jackson finished with 254 yards and one interception on 18-for-25 throwing while gathering 39 yards on six carries and a fumble. He did a great job shaking off the rough first half to get the team within a two-point conversion of tying the game in the fourth quarter. He went 12-for-15 for 131 yards and a touchdown in the second half, but the third costly turnover from Mark Andrews and a dropped two-point conversion was the nail in the coffin.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

2 months agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has produced his best season yet and goes into Buffalo to take on the other MVP candidate in a rematch from Week 4. In that first matchup, Jackson posted 156 yards and two touchdowns on 13-for-18 throwing, and six carries for 54 yards and another touchdown. Both teams have changed considerably since then, but the Ravens' run game definitely hasn't slowed down. The game is supposed to be one of the coldest that Jackson has ever played in which means it could turn to more of a running script again, but it's hard to get better than Jackson in DFS formats. The option should be featured quite heavily while Rashod Bateman can find himself open for a deep strike.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

2 months agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) suffered a minor back injury in last Saturday's wild-card win over the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers but is not listed on the injury report this week as the team begins preparing for a Divisional Round showdown this Sunday against the hosting Buffalo Bills. Jackson's status for this weekend's big game was never really in question, but now it's official that the 28-year-old will be good to go. Last year's NFL MVP had only 175 passing yards and two touchdowns in the win over Pittsburgh, adding 81 rushing yards on 15 attempts, but he'll likely be needed to do more against Buffalo in what should be a high-scoring affair. The QB1 in overall fantasy points during the regular season, Jackson will be a high-priced, top-tier QB option for fantasy managers in playoff leagues against Buffalo, even if he's without top wideout Zay Flowers (knee) for a second straight game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) was kneed in the back in the second quarter of Saturday's wild-card win over the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. However, head coach John Harbaugh didn't seem too concerned on Monday that it would affect Jackson's practice status this week. "It doesn't look that way, from what I've been told," Harbaugh said. The 28-year-old Jackson, who could win his second straight MVP award for the 2024 season, was seen grimacing late in the 28-14 win over Pittsburgh, but he never left the game and should be fine to play in a Divisional Round showdown versus the Buffalo Bills at Orchard Park this coming weekend. Jackson threw for only 175 yards but added two passing TDs and 81 rushing yards against the Steelers. In what should be a high-scoring shootout against Buffalo, Jackson will be a high-end, expensive starting QB in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
