Lamar Jackson Should Be Fine
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson "should be fine" after leaving the end of the game in overtime in the Week 14 loss to the Chiefs with an undisclosed injury. Jackson took a hard hit and had to be checked on the sidelines to finish the game. It was the rookie's first loss in four games filling in for Joe Flacco (hip), and it was his first loss. Jackson went 13-for-24 for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the loss while also running 13 times for an extra 71 yards. He hasn't gone over 200 yards passing in his four starts, but Jackson adds a dimension with his legs that gives him added fantasy value in two-QB leagues. It's unclear if the Ravens will turn back to Flacco for Week 15 in a great matchup against the Buccaneers, but Jackson's injury won't be the reason if so. If Jackson makes another start and Flacco sits, he'll have QB1 upside. However, there is a good chance Flacco returns to a starting role and Jackson enters for a package of plays.
