Lamar Jackson Refining His Game
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was the 2019 Most Valuable Player in the NFL, is focusing on the mental aspects of his game during the COVID-19 pandemic. "If anything, I just want my mind to grow even more, just learning the ins and outs of the game even more – Tom Brady stuff," Jackson said. The third-year quarterback became a more accurate passer in 2019, but he also recognized coverages quicker and made faster decisions as a result. Jackson had a league-high 176 rushing attempts for QBs last year and set the single-season rushing record with 1,206 yards. But he envisions himself running less the older he gets, using the weapons around him more often. It doesn't mean that Jackson won't run, but he'll be more mindful of tucking and running. After his MVP season last year, Jackson will be one of the first fantasy QBs off the board in drafts.
