Kyrie Irving To Debut For Mavericks On Wednesday
2 years agoDallas Mavericks newly acquired talented point guard Kyrie Irving is expected to make his debut with the team on Wednesday against the Clippers. Irving had his first practice with his new team on Tuesday, and when asked if he had any problems playing alongside MVP candidate Luka Doncic, he responded, "no." With Doncic's role as the primary ball-handler not destined to change, Irving will have to play more off-ball, something he isn't as used to. Two of the most talented guards in the NBA are now teammates, which will be scary for opponents. This duo will be very entertaining to watch, and who knows, Irving might be that piece the Mavericks need to get them over the hump. Regarding Irving’s fantasy value, he may have a slight decrease in usage. Doncic is more ball dominant than Kevin Durant which will cause Irving to have to play more off ball. However, Irving is still a stud and he shouldn’t struggle to put up great numbers on his new team.
