Kyle Wright, Bryse Wilson Could Make Opening Day Roster
6 years agoAtlanta Braves pitchers Kyle Wright and Bryse Wilson may have positioned themselves to open the year on the Opening Day roster. Wright is the most likely candidate to fill Mike Foltynewicz's rotation void to begin the season. Wilson allowed three runs in four innings against the Yankees on Monday night and has impressed this spring. The 21-year-old is ranked as the team's No. 7 prospect per MLB Pipeline and struck out both Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Wilson might be asked to fill a bullpen spot with both relievers Darren O'Day and A.J. Minter set to open on the injured list. He also remains a candidate for a rotation spot, too, if Kevin Gausman begins on the injured list. Wright is the No. 30 prospect overall and No. 2 for Atlanta. Both pitchers need to be on your radar in dynasty/keeper leagues.
