Kyle Stowers Heading Back To The Minors
5 months agoThe Baltimore Orioles optioned outfielder Kyle Stowers to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. Stowers handled himself respectably in his third showing in the big leagues, but given all of the team's options in the outfield at the major-league level, there just wasn't enough regular playing time for Stowers to justify keeping him on the active roster. The former second-round selection in 2019 out of Stanford saw action in 17 games this year and went 10-for-35 (.286) with a home run, four doubles, nine RBI, no walks and 13 strikeouts in 36 plate appearances for the O's. Since debuting in the big leagues in 2022, he has slashed .224/.269/.365 with four homers, 20 RBI and 15 runs scored in 65 games played. Until further notice, Stowers will continue to operate as organizational outfield depth.
