7 years agoNew Jersey Devils forward Kyle Palmieri left last night's game against the New York Islanders in the third period after taking a high stick from teammate Andy Greene just below the eye. The wound clearly needed stitching and the forward did not return to finish the game. It's unclear what his status will be tonight when the team travels to Montreal to face the Canadiens. Palmieri managed to notch a power play assist before exiting the game.--Barry Miles
