Kyle Lewis Could Return Late In The Season
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis (knee) was diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his right knee this week. In an interview on 710 ESPN in Seattle on Thursday, Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said that he was "hopeful" that Lewis would return at some point this year. However, he also added, "But I don't think it's going to be quick." Lewis was sidelined with a bone bruise in the same joint this April, so the Mariners have good reason to be cautious with their young outfielder. Fantasy managers should attempt to hold onto Lewis in an IL spot if possible, but it sounds like he'll be out for the bulk of the year. So if you're in a pinch in a shallow league, cutting him wouldn't be the worst option.
