Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson will start fourth in this week's Cookout Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. This will be the second time at "The Track Too Tough to Tame" that Larson will start in the Top 5 since the Next-Gen car's introduction in 2022. In 13 races at Darlington, Larson has one win, eight top-10 finishes, and 785 laps led, which is the fourth-most of active drivers. Larson is the defending winner of this week's race and led in four of the five Cup events with the Next-Gen car. With 24 races completed this season, Larson has four wins (the most of all drivers), 12 top-10 finishes, and 825 laps led, which is the second-most of all drivers. In practice, Larson ranked first in overall lap averages and eighth in five consecutive lap averages. Larson offers little Place Differential upside but is still one of the favorites to compete for the win based on his equipment and strong Darlington history.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
