Kyle Hendricks Turns In Quality Start, No-Decision Tuesday
1 year agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks delivered a quality start but came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox. Hendricks pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The 33-year-old has been serviceable in 16 starts this season, going 4-6 with a 4.00 ERA, a 5.95 K/9 rate, a 1.56 BB/9 rate, and almost six IP per start. While he won't strike many hitters out, Hendricks' ability to pitch deep into games makes him a worthwhile streamer in points leagues where quality starts are rewarded. His next start should be one of those opportunities against the Royals.
