5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (groin) suffered a left groin strain during his start against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. He'll be evaluated over the next few days, but he said the pain level is similar to when he missed 10 days for the same injury in 2017. The left-hander allowed five runs (three earned) on five hits while walking two and striking out two in 5 1/3 innings before exiting. He drops to 3-11 with a 6.98 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 78 K's in 99 1/3 innings over his 20 starts this year. It's been a nightmare season for Freeland, and he should remain on waiver wires in all mixed leagues. Don't be surprised if he's placed on the injured list on Wednesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
