Kyle Freeland Downplays Blister
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (finger) downplayed the blister issue he dealt with on his middle finger during his start on Saturday against the Giants. He said it did not affect his performance. That's both good and bad. Freeland shouldn't have to miss his next start against the Phillies, but he's off to a poor start to the season and allowed nine hits and three runs over five innings on Saturday to the light-hitting Giants. The southpaw should be better than this over the course of the season, but he'll have disappointments along the way, mainly at Coors Field. We'd recommend avoiding him in his next outing against the potent Phillies.
