Kyle Finnegan Earns His Second Save On Sunday
2 years agoWashington Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan closed out the team's 4-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday to earn his second save of the year. It was his first save opportunity since the team lost Tanner Rainey (elbow) to a season-ending injury a few weeks back. Finnegan recorded the final five outs of Sunday's game, retiring each of the five batters he faced. He now owns a 3.76 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP on the year to go along with a 3.3 K/BB ratio. The 30-year-old should continue to serve as the team's primary closer going forward as long as he can pitch effectively, making him worthy of a roster spot in most fantasy leagues.
