Kyle Finnegan Completes Scoreless Outing Thursday
1 year agoWashington Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan came into Thursday's game against the New York Mets with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning and got the final two outs without allowing a baserunner. The outing brought the 31-year-old's ERA to 3.12, and he has yet to allow a run since July 14. Finnegan's added a 1.22 WHIP, 23.2% strikeout rate, and 14 saves to his stat line, and he's a trade candidate heading into the trade deadline. If the club does move him, it's likely the right-hander will no longer be closing out games, so fantasy owners may want to find a backup plan just in case.
