Kyle Farmer Activated From Paternity List

The Cincinnati Reds activated shortstop Kyle Farmer from the paternity list on Monday. Relief pitcher Brad Brach was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Farmer spent a total of three days on the paternity list as he welcomed a child with his wife. Jose Barrero and Eugenio Suarez split shortstop duties while Farmer was out. Farmer should now take back over as the team's primary shortstop going forward. It's been a bit of a breakout year for the 31-year-old, who is slashing .254/.308/.397 with 13 home runs, 53 RBI and 51 runs over 132 games.
