5 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said that quarterback Kyle Allen will start again in Week 10 against the Packers, while Cam Newton (foot) will continue with his rehab program. Newton isn't recovering as the team had hoped, and there's a chance he'll need season-ending surgery after he visited with a foot specialist over the weekend. The chances of Newton not returning this year are increasing by the day, which is obviously good for Allen. While the team is 5-1 with Allen under center, he's been nothing more than a mediocre game manager for fantasy owners as a low-end QB2. This offense continues to be the Christian McCaffrey show. Allen has a tough matchup in Week 10 against the Packers, who are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Chargers, on the road.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
