Kris Bryant Produces In Return
6 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (shoulder) made his first start of his return from injury Saturday versus Philadelphia. He would collect two hits and score a key run as he shows he is still a really good hitter. He has returned along with Addison Russell to create a logjam at three positions (3B, 2B, and SS) with plenty of quality options. Russell will be worked back into the flow of the majors but likely will stick to the middle infield. Baez is a heck of a good 2B but can also play SS and may see some late-game time at 3B to make room for others. Bryant is an All-Star 3B but rumor suggest he could see some playing time in outfield to make room to also have Daniel Murphy able to also be a consistent factor. Factor in Zobrist who can play 2B and corner OF and David Bote and you have a heck of a group of infielders who will spill into the outfield. As a major league team, it is a wonderful situation but it will cause some headaches for fantasy owners.
