Kodai Senga To Throw Off A Mound Soon

New York Mets right-hander Kodai Senga (shoulder) is throwing out to 120 feet and will start playing catch from a mound imminently, manager Carlos Mendoza said over the weekend. Senga was recently moved to the 60-day injured list, which means he won't be eligible to come off the IL until the final week of May. The 31-year-old hurler suffered a right-shoulder strain during spring training and was forced to begin his second major-league season on the IL for the Mets. New York is playing things very safe with their ace, so fantasy managers must continue to be patient and keep him stashed in an IL spot. With Tylor Megill (shoulder) also injured, Jose Butto has been the one to benefit and has been excellent in his two spot starts for the Mets. He's now sticking in the rotation until either Senga or Megill return.
