Knicks May Look To Bring Back Precious Achiuwa
5 months agoAccording to Fred Katz of The Athletic, the Knicks could look to bring back forward/center Precious Achiuwa. New York didn't extend a qualifying offer to the veteran. However, with Isaiah Hartenstein agreeing to a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team has a void to fill. The 24-year-old was instrumental in helping the Knicks stay afloat while several players were out. He appeared in 49 games for New York after being moved by the Raptors ahead of the trade deadline, averaging 7.6 points and 7.2 rebounds (12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 1.1 steals in 18 starts). Assuming New York brings Achiuwa back, he would operate behind Mitchell Robinson. Yet, with Robinson notorious for missing time due to injury, Achiuwa could find himself back in the starting lineup at some point during the 2024-25 campaign.
