Kim Ng Declines To Interview With Red Sox
1 year agoFormer Miami Marlins general manager Kim Ng was the latest executive to decline an interview with the Boston Red Sox, according to multiple industry sources. Ng was thought to be of strong interest to the Red Sox, who have had trouble getting candidates to agree to interviews in the wake of Chaim Bloom's firing. Ng left the Marlins this week because the informed her they were planning on hiring another baseball operations person in a move that would have relegated her to No. 2. In addition to Ng, Phillies GM Sam Fuld, Dodgers GM Brandon Gomes, MLB executive Michael Hill, former Rangers GM Jon Daniels, Twins president of baseball operations Derek Falvey and Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen have removed themselves from Boston's consideration.
