5 years agoOakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin said that outfielder Khris Davis (hip) will go on the injured list with a hip contusion. Davis has been in and out of the lineup ever since his hip injury on May 5, although he's hit .346 (9-for-26) with two homers and three RBI since then. While it's bad news for his fantasy owners, it's a good thing in the long run for the slugging outfielder/designated hitter. Davis is hitting .250/.320/.500 on the season with 12 homers and 29 RBI in 172 plate appearances and should be stashed in all leagues. Mark Canha figures to see much more playing time with Davis on the shelf.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
