Khalil Rountree Jr. Gets TKO'd In UFC 307 Main Event

While Rountree Jr. didn't walk away as the new light heavyweight champion, he did have a good performance, as he won the first two rounds on the judges' cards, and even managed to drop Pereira in the second round. Rountree Jr. started to gas out in the third round and then suffered a massive amount of damage. Despite a valiant effort to pull off the upset, Rountree Jr. was finished in the fourth round after Pereira landed a pair of body shots. In 19:32 of action, Rountree Jr. landed 62 significant strikes. Even in defeat, Rountree Jr. raised his stock with this incredible performance. Now, his UFC record is 9-6.
