Calgary Flames center Kevin Rooney (undisclosed) was injured in Wednesday's season opener against Vancouver. With only seven minutes played in the contest, Rooney took a hard hit from Canucks forward J.T. Miller and exited the game after logging only two shifts as the fourth-line center. The American forward hasn't been very productive offensively in his career and settled for four points (three goals, one assist) in 33 outings last season. Matthew Coronato will have a chance to enter the lineup if Rooney isn't available for Saturday's meeting with Philadelphia.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
