Kevin Kiermaier Is Reportedly Going To Play Wednesday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (foot) is going to play Wednesday against the White Sox, according to beat writer Bill Chastain. Kiermaier fouled a ball hard off his foot on Sunday. It is a bone bruise causing the pain. His 2018 numbers look bad but his track record tells another story. Kiermaier has either tied or set a career high in home runs in each of his past four seasons. He has stolen 16 to 21 bases the past three seasons. He even set a career-best .276 batting average in 2017. He has missed a lot of games the past two seasons, but if he can stay healthy and start the vast majority of the Rays games, he could set career highs in multiple categories and break into a higher tier of fantasy outfielders.
