Kevin Huerter Cleared To Play In Kings Season Opener
6 months agoSacramento Kings shooting guard Kevin Huerter (shoulder) has been cleared to return from his shoulder injury and will play in the Kings' season opener on Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Huerter was sidelined with the injury for the last 15 games of the 2023-2024 season and will be a welcome return to the Kings' lineup. Head coach Mike Brown noted the other day that the 26-year-old would "probably" start if he was able to return, meaning he may still hold his normal fantasy value that managers have grown accustomed to. His role may be affected, though, by both the acquisition of DeMar DeRozan and the departure of Harrison Barnes. Given Huerter's value is generally dependent on his three-point shooting, fantasy managers should still expect him to get up his usual amount of threes to replace Barnes' volume. DeRozan generally doesn't do much of his damage from behind the arc, so fantasy managers should not worry about Huerter losing volume to him.

Kevin Huerter Cleared For Saturday
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Kevin Huerter (thumb) is available ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. As expected, Huerter has been cleared to play after being listed as probable on the injury report. Huerter is expected to have an increased role in the rotation with Tre Jones (foot) going down for at least the next two weeks. Huerter was already playing a fairly significant role with 29 minutes or more in each of his last seven games. During that span, Huerter has scored double digit points in six of those seven games. He's worth a look as a streaming option with the Bulls shorthanded at the guard spot.

Kevin Huerter Questionable For Thursday's Game
1 month agoChicago Bulls guard/forward Kevin Huerter (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Orlando Magic. He may be forced to skip a third consecutive game due to a right knee sprain. Huerter's absence has allowed Dalen Terry to make back-to-back starts, with Julian Phillips seeing more playing time off the bench. However, neither has made a significant impact in fantasy basketball. If Huerter doesn't return on Thursday, he will have only one more opportunity to suit up this week, as the Bulls visit the Miami Heat on Saturday.

Kevin Huerter Not Playing On Tuesday Versus Cleveland
1 month agoK.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports that Chicago Bulls guard/forward Kevin Huerter (knee) is unavailable for Tuesday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Huerter sprained his right knee and missed Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers. He also didn't practice on Monday. Chicago has a lengthy injury list, allowing Dalen Terry and Tre Jones more playing time. Jones is likely a better fantasy option of the two, and his value trends upward with Josh Giddey (quadriceps) and Lonzo Ball (wrist) out for this evening's contest.

Kevin Huerter Listed As Questionable Tuesday
1 month agoChicago Bulls guard/forward Kevin Huerter (knee) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. After spraining his right knee, Huerter missed Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers and was unable to practice on Monday. His chances of playing in Tuesday's game appear quite slim. Chicago currently has a lengthy injury list, which allows Dalen Terry and Tre Jones to have more playing time. Jones is the superior fantasy option of the two, but his value mainly depends on the statuses of Josh Giddey (quadriceps), Lonzo Ball (wrist), and Coby White (thumb).
