5 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks optioned infielder Kevin Cron to Triple-A Reno on Friday to make room for starting pitcher Jon Duplantier, who is being called up from Reno to start against the Mets on Friday. Cron, 26, had three hits in 13 at-bats (.231) with two runs and two RBI in his brief time in the majors, but he could be back later this year. He was hitting an impressive .339/.437/.800 with 21 long balls and 62 RBI in 44 games for Reno before being called up. Keep him on your rosters in dynasty/keeper leagues. Duplantier has pitched well in limited relief opportunities for Arizona this year, but he'll be much riskier in his first major league start against New York.
